Manchester About the Role My client is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for driving health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) excellence across all operations, with a particular focus on Smart Metering and Dual Fuel services. The ideal candidate will bring extensive industry experience and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance, improving processes, and fostering a culture of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards across all operations. Lead incident investigations, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence. Manage and maintain certifications and accreditations, ensuring all regulatory and legal requirements are met. Provide training and support to employees, promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement ethos. Collaborate with operational teams to embed HSEQ considerations into all projects and processes. Monitor environmental performance and ensure the organisation adheres to sustainability targets and initiatives. Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in an HSEQ management role, preferably within the Smart Metering, Dual Fuel, or energy sectors. In-depth knowledge of UK HSEQ regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential; Diploma-level qualifications are desirable. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in relevant software tools and the ability to maintain accurate documentation. A valid UK driving licence is desirable, as the role may involve travel.
