Lifesaving Training supports the RNLI by delivering the training and assessment required to our Lifeboat Crews and Lifeguards for the RNLI to provide its lifesaving service. Some of the benefits

As a Human Factors Training Lead, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas: Provide expert advice, guidance, training and support on matters related to human factors and operational decision making. Work collaboratively with key RNLI stakeholders to ensure that human factors and operational decision making safety risks are foregrounded and widely understood. Develop and implement a human factors train the trainer programme to establish a pool of human factors champions. Develop and implement a comprehensive human factors training programme, establishing a roll out plan in collaboration with Lifesaving Operations, with a measurable impact. Have oversight and input into any RNLI human factors and operational decision making reference documents or training material (policy, publications, courses, web based training etc) to ensure opportunities for improvement and learning are relevant, effective, and regularly updated. About you

You’ll be an experienced human factors professional with a passion for maritime search and rescue. You’ll proactively seek to drive improvement, both in your own performance and that of the wider RNLI. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an open mind, and a willingness to travel extensively, occasionally at short notice. To be considered as the Human Factors Training Lead you will need: Experience in creating training programmes based on adult learning theories and instructional design models. Proven track record of delivering engaging training sessions (in-person and virtual). Proficiency in conducting academic research, usability testing, and critical task analysis. Current valid driving licence. So, as a Human Factors Training Lead you will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering Human Factors training, ensuring our lifesavers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make sound decisions that lead to safer practices.
