30 January and 6 February 2025 About WMC/Our Department: We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our exciting and well-recognised organisation. Wales Millennium Centre is a home for the arts in Wales, and a cauldron of creativity for the nation working with artists, young people and communities and we would love to make you a part of our team. We are a HR team who are focused on improving the employee experience through automation of our processes, creating an inspiring and engaging work environment and introducing best practice Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. We have a packed agenda which you could play a key part in. About the Role and Responsibilities: The role will report to the Head of HR and Organisational Development and will support and drive forward the implementation of WMC’s people strategy. You will provide expert advice and guidance to WMC leaders in all areas of HR to support the achievement of WMC vision, including but not limited to: absence management, performance management, learning & development, reward and recognition, employee engagement and employee relations. You will be responsible for keeping yourself updated with employment legislation and best practice and use this knowledge to create, develop, review and implement policies and contractual changes. You will lead the implementation of improvement projects to enhance the service provided to the organisation, specifically focusing on the implementation and development of a new recruitment system to maximise its full potential. Other projects will include recruitment and development programmes to attract and retain new talent to the organisation. This role may be performed on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days required on site after an initial induction period. Your role may be subject to a DBS check. Key Requirements: You will possess a strong generalist understanding of all areas of HR, covering talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, employment legislation and employee relations. Demonstrable experience of creating, developing and implementing policies and contractual changes. You will have successfully led on a range of HR improvement initiatives across systems, process automation and improvements, with demonstrable project management skills to effectively deliver HR improvement projects on time and with high level of quality and engagement. A confident problem-solver who can identify solutions and implement them swiftly. Being accountable for one’s actions, working proactively and demonstrating strong initiative. Excellent relationship management skills and ability to build and maintain working partnerships. You will be CIPD level 5 qualified or possess equivalent demonstrable experience.
