Main duties of the job Human Resources and Employee Relations Manager Band 7: £46,148 - £52,809 37.5 hours per week Permanent We have an excellent opportunity for someone to come in and continue to shape and drive further improvements within a busy and rewarding HR/ER Department. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of our Attraction and Retention Strategy and action plan; therefore, being highly motivated, organised, innovative, and creative is paramount. Providing a high-quality, comprehensive and effective generalist operational HR service to Locala business units, you will help support Locala colleagues to achieve business objectives through effective people management and workforce strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring Locala policies and procedures are legally compliant and fit for purpose to enable managers to undertake workforce matters under their remit, whilst providing professional advice, support and guidance to managers and colleagues on employment and absence-related issues, ensuring consistency and transparency. Working within and managing a team of HR Advisors, you will ensure we deliver against What Good Looks Like and Best Practice, supporting our Values and our approach to being an Employer of Choice. You will also lead on several projects at any one time and manage the successful implementation of service improvements within the HR Services team, across the wider Workforce team and into the business. About Us If you can demonstrate the following, then we'd like to hear from you: Strong team development and management, not afraid to make difficult decisions yet also be prepared to push back and challenge. A great understanding of Employment Law to support complex HR cases, providing guidance, support, and coaching. Proven experience of working with Unions to ensure positive communications and outcomes. The ability to review and implement Policies and Procedures. A detailed understanding of absence management and support. The skill of juggling priorities, project management, adapting to change and removing ambiguity. Stakeholder relationship management, listening to feedback and confirming detailed action plans. Attention to detail in providing detailed management reports and papers, analysing trends, issues and coming up with plans to resolve. That you can work well under pressure, deal with the day-to-day challenges along with planning for the future. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure deadlines are met. You must hold excellent communication skills with an exceptional track record of providing operational HR services and project management support.
