We are looking for a dedicated, experienced Humanities Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. This would suit a subject specialist in Humanities.New Forest School is an outstanding, small independent school with an excellent reputation for working with vulnerable students with ASD, attachment difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum.Have a desire to work in an SEN settingBe approachable, flexible and adaptable, with a desire to make a difference in our students lives.Have the capability for supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.Possess effective communication and relationship building skills.Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.To intervene physically with our students, when required, using Team Teach trained techniques when de-escalation strategies have failed (full training will be provided).Demonstrate analytical thinking Improve the quality of pupils' learning.Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate pupils. Qualifications and requirements: QTS or equivalent required.Proven teaching experience.
