HVAC Engineering Construction Lead

in Bridgwater, on HPC Construction Site (England). We are currently seeking an HVAC Engineering Construction Lead to manage HVAC construction activities, ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Principal Responsibilities: Manage Contract Engineering Lead activities related to HVAC construction, including the writing of technical specifications for erection activities. Respond to Technical Queries and resolve construction Open Points promptly. Coordinate the response to Exemption Requests and interface with Front Office teams on Field Change Requests/Non-Conformances. Support construction Project Managers in establishing Key Performance Indicators for reporting site progress. Provide proactive technical support to ensure construction activities proceed smoothly without blockers. Ensure integration of post-construction needs into the construction sequence (e.g., Commissioning Test Pack review and acceptance). Coordinate engineering activities, identify and implement process improvements, such as the redlining process on-site. Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in an equivalent/related role in the construction industry. Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering, achieving high professional standards. Ability to deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time, and cost in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment. Strong people leadership skills, empowering team members, and coordinating efficient delivery. Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously with awareness of own limitations. Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Degree in a related engineering field. Chartered Engineer with a relevant engineering institute. Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR construction. Working knowledge of the French language is an advantage. Good knowledge of CDM Regulations. Key Competencies: Problem-solving and finding solutions. Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable way to a range of stakeholders. Analysing large amounts of data from various sources and considering differing opinions to propose ways forward. Ability to influence a broad mix of stakeholders. Persistence and resilience.
