Your new company My client, one of the UK’s largest Facilities Management companies, is looking for a HVAC Engineer in the Petersfield area. Your new role In this role, you will be performing PPM and reactive works. Responsibilities include: Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of plant and equipment, managing the environmental conditions on site through the BMS system, and running all plant and equipment efficiently. Improve and implement the preventative maintenance program. Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working and comfortable environment while liaising with the client on requests for certain reactive and PPM tasks. Fault finding on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a bias towards the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Work with refrigerant and have the necessary qualifications in the handling of F-Gas. Support others in the team in relation to Health and Safety. Perform the role of Energy Champion and assist in the role of Safety Champion for the site. Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team. Write and follow Risk Assessments and be available to address any issues that arise from them safely and accurately. Complete the required documentation as specified with the requirements of all rules and legislation. Use Mobile Devices to accurately project and complete any works from the CAFM Maintenance System. Act as the responsible person when required for the team and deputise for the site supervisor during annual leave or sickness. Work overtime as needed, which may include nights and weekends with little notice. What you’ll need to succeed You will have proven experience in HVAC maintenance within a commercial setting, along with good multi-skilled ability to fault find and supervise contractors. You will be able to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements and understand and write Permits and safe systems of work. You will need experience in F-Gas safe handling and use of refrigerants.
