Requirements
Technical school certification or equivalent experience Proven success at the diagnosis and repair of complex problems on HVAC residential systems without daily supervision Complete understanding of refrigerant cycle Proficient at reading and understanding residential schematics Able to be on the "on call" schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Proven success at educating customers on products and services offered by the company including replacement systems and maintenance agreements Able to read, write, and speak English Demonstrated ability to complete paperwork properly and according to procedure Valid driver's license Able to lift, pull, and/or push 75 pounds Able to climb ladders and work off scaffolding Able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time Furnish own hand tools Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity and innovation Able to complete a pre-employment physical test
Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential oil and gas heating equipment, air conditioning units, and heat pump units Complete residential preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment Train other technicians Provide all customers with consistent, quality service in accordance with company procedure Positively promote the company's products and services, developing equipment leads and selling service contracts Assist other team members to achieve maximum success, safety, and efficiency Maintain required truck inventory as audited Maintain a neat appearance in proper, clean uniform at all times Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and maintain a clean vehicle at all times Perform all duties in a safe manner ensuring incident-free operations Able to operate Astea handheld device Report any incident or accident as soon as possible to the Residential Service Operations Manager/Home Services Project Manager
