On the road in and around Stoke-on-Trent We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in repair and maintenance, with a particular focus on commercial gas systems and air conditioning. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. The Service Engineer will also be responsible for delivering small scale installation works and gas network upgrades. Sovereign Planned Services Ltd are one of the UK’s market leading Air Conditioning and Mechanical specialists. We have been providing an outstanding service nationwide for over 40 years, whilst remaining a family business to this day. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, specialising in commercial gas equipment. Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to improve service processes and efficiency. Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all service operations. Experience Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance, particularly within mechanical systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in guiding teams or projects preferred. Familiarity with air conditioning systems is highly desirable but not essential as training will be available when required. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
