Hybrid Cloud Technical Architect

Laing O'Rourke are seeking a skilled Hybrid Cloud Technical Architect. Do you want to play a crucial role in design and deployment of hybrid cloud infrastructure projects? If you have a deep understanding of Cloud (Azure) and on-premise infrastructure solutions then this is the role for you.

What will the role involve?
You will be working on strategy, design and execution of hybrid cloud projects. This means facilitating architecture discussions and collaborating with cross-functional global teams. You will draw on stakeholder communication and engagement skills to offer technical insight and clearly detail solutions. This includes creating HLD, LLD and standards for operational teams to align. You will support the transition of new solutions and technologies into the operations team for BAU management.
Essential experience:
The role requires someone with generalist experience and a passion for scripting and automation.
Architect, deploy and manage Hybrid cloud solutions On-premise Datacenter, Backup, DR, Database, Cloud (Azure). Implementation of Azure resources aligned to industry best practice and migration of existing Azure resources to the cloud. Azure - Landing zones, Subscriptions, Management Groups, Policies, Virtual machines, Storage Accounts (Blob, Files), SQL PaaS, PIM. Understanding of Azure networking Express Route, Azure Firewall, NSG's, VWAN. On-premise experience - Active Directory, DNS, Server, Certificates, SolarWinds, SQL, HCI, Backup & Restore Desirable experience: IAC experience (Terraform) (GIT) Datacenter migrations and disaster recovery planning. Possession of relevant certifications or hands-on experience The role can be based out of one of our office locations Dartford, Manchester, Worksop with other locations considered.
