Maintain and Improve Hygiene Standards:

Continuously assess and enhance hygiene protocols across the site to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.

Delegate Tasks and Supervise:

Effectively assign responsibilities to the hygiene team, ensuring tasks are completed with precision and efficiency.

Adherence to Schedule:

Strictly adhere to the established cleaning schedule and promptly report any concerns regarding schedule deviations to the Quality & Hygiene Manager.

Scheduled Swabbing:

Conduct routine swabbing activities to monitor and verify the effectiveness of cleaning procedures.

Post Clean Inspections:

Perform thorough inspections following cleaning activities to guarantee that standards are met and maintained. Facilitate training sessions for new team members, ensuring they are well-versed in hygiene protocols and procedures.

Administrative Duties:

Manage administrative tasks such as completion of relevant paperwork, stock taking of hygiene equipment and chemicals.

Liaison with Other Department Heads:

Communicate/collaborate with heads of other departments, operations, engineering, etc., to optimize operational processes and ensure seamless interdepartmental communication. Provide cover for the night shift production supervisor in the event of absence/holidays.

Equipment Inspection:

Regularly inspect hygiene equipment for faults, ensuring it meets safety standards before use.

Encourage Compliance with H&S Policies:

Manage, maintain, and actively encourage compliance with Health and Safety (H&S) policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety within the team.

Daily Area Inspections:

Conduct daily inspections of work areas, verifying full compliance with required hygiene standards.

Audit Preparation:

Prepare for audits by paying meticulous attention to detail in hygiene standards and documentation and ensuring all necessary records are up-to-date.

Adherence to schedule

Post hygiene micro results

Health and Safety Related Findings during monthly audits

Hygiene Findings During Regulatory / Customer Audits

Desired Criteria:

Understanding of HACCP

Understanding of COSHH

Flexibility

Punctuality

Ideally come from a food background

Experience of cleaning within a food manufacturing environment

Hands-on team player
