Up to £50,000 + bonus + comprehensive benefits package Chapman Tate Associates seeks an IBM RPG Developer to join this internationally based and well-recognized manufacturer within their Aston-based offices. As an IBM RPG Developer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects that shape the future. Role and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications using IBM RPG programming language Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance Write efficient and clean code while adhering to coding standards and best practices Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Document code, processes, and specifications for future reference Technically, you will have experience around the following: Proven experience as an RPG Developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects Proficiency in RPG IV programming language and related tools Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform and associated technologies Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles Problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork abilities Any experience with .Net/C# or EDI-based applications will be advantageous to your application.
