The Consumer Technical Insights team is a thought leader in the development, application, and rollout of both insight and value optimization tools to direct our core brands to deliver against rapidly evolving opportunities within fast-moving consumer trends in the marketplace. JOB PURPOSE We are seeking a highly experienced, creative Senior Consumer Technical Insights Manager with strong strategic thinking skills to join our dynamic team within our ice cream business. In this role, you will lead the charge in uncovering and interpreting consumer data to drive strategic business decisions. This Consumer Insight role partners with R&D and is based at our Colworth R&D site in Bedfordshire, UK, within the Global & Europe Ice Cream CTI team. RESPONSIBILITIES Drive superior product experience and holistic design thinking in core brand programmes, ensuring practical execution and winning in the market. Offer foresight as well as insight by proactively identifying consumer and market trends, and using these to help identify strategic opportunities. Design and implement comprehensive research strategies for long-term innovation funnel to gather qualitative and quantitative data on consumer behaviours and delivery for benefit-led technology innovation. Drive Strategic Understanding Programme to apply new insight approaches, through partnering with agencies, which improve our understanding of the key drivers of choice. Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate consumer insights into product development, ensuring our ice cream products meet and exceed consumer expectations. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to apply within projects if appropriate. Travel 25% of the time. ALL ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field. Relevant years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related field, with relevant years in a leadership role. Proven track record of translating data into strategic business recommendations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders. Extensive experience in the consumer insights function, with a strong track record of leadership in managing teams and engaging stakeholders. Possesses a deep understanding of diverse research methodologies, including sensory analysis, statistical methods, qualitative and quantitative research, and AI applications in market research. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
