The Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) is looking to recruit an additional Technical Instructor to join the active recall team. The key focus of the role will be on the recall of equipment in the community which is past its original loan date. This work will mean visiting and contacting people by telephone to review the equipment they have on loan and where appropriate to do so, arrange for the equipment to be returned. The work may also involve arranging repairs of equipment that is identified as faulty, arranging outstanding maintenance or referring a person back to the relevant service for a reassessment of their needs. ICELS plays a critical role in supporting health and social care services, facilitating hospital discharge, admission avoidance, end of life and palliative care, support to keep people in their own homes. ICELS has an office at the equipment providers base in Glen Parva. The team works both remotely and at the office. The post is Monday to Friday, part time or full time and flexible hours / working arrangements may be available. The post holder will be employed by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) on behalf of ICELS. The role is office and home based with a requirement to attend the office for meetings/training events and will require visits to peoples home or care/education settings. To work with health and social care staff across a range of organisations in LLRTo carry out reviews of peoples use of equipment consistent with local policy To make referrals to relevant services where it is identified that a person needs reassessment of their equipment To make referrals to the equipment provider where it is identified that equipment is faulty or has not been maintained in line with contractual requirements In order to carry out this role candidates will need: Experience of working in the community and have experience of carrying out assessment and review of equipment To be self-motivated and flexible To work autonomously with their own allocated caseloads for recall To work in a range of environments including working from office and home contacting people by telephone, visiting people in their own homes and in care settings To work with health and social care staff across a range of organisations in LLRTo carry out reviews of peoples use of equipment consistent with local policy To ensure that equipment is still appropriate for use by the person as originally assessed for and to recover equipment that is no longer required To make referrals to relevant services where it is identified that a person needs reassessment of their equipment To make referrals to the equipment provider where it is identified that equipment is faulty or has not been maintained in line with contractual requirements About us
