We are looking to recruit a band 7, Senior Systems Engineer (IT Infrastructure Team). The role would be part of the Digital Infrastructure and Technical Support Team, supporting clinical and non-clinical users throughout the trust in their use of all IDT services and offering advice and support to the users. This includes managing and supporting storage, data centres, remote technology, and triaging tickets for the team. Main Duties of the Job

Previous experience of working in a high-demanding environment with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well as part of a team. Experience with clinical information systems and remote support software is a definite advantage. About Us

Education

Postgraduate or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., MSc or MCSE). Strong technical experience - MCP. Broad knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and networking acquired through diploma or equivalent experience/qualification. MCSE. Skills and Knowledge

Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to clarify a problem, seek all relevant information, detect trends, and identify critical issues in complex situations. Ability to manage own workload, work with minimal supervision, and be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive. Advanced Active Directory administration, configuration, and maintenance skills. Knowledge and experience of:

Storage Area Networks (SAN) Network Attached Storage (NAS) VB or Windows Scripting LDAP/ADSI

Specialist in a minimum of two core areas (SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, Backup, IIS/Web, Scripting, high availability). VMS experience. Experience with Cisco switch and router configuration and administration. Experience

Minimum 5 years 3rd line/systems support experience. Experience of supporting and administering VMWare ESX server including high availability and consolidated backup. Minimum of 2 years experience of systems administration/management in an enterprise environment (over 100 servers). Disclosure and Barring Service Check
