This role is Band 2 with the view to progress to Band 3 upon completion of the preceptorship program or with relevant previous experience and qualifications. Main duties of the job
To assist the Sonographers and Radiologists, Radiographic and Nursing staff in the smooth running of the x-ray / Ultrasound/BMD / Mammography and Nuclear Medicine rooms at Harrogate District Hospital, Ripon Community Hospital and other community settings. This will involve greeting patients, changing them into gowns, assisting with the procedure, giving personal care to patients, for example toileting, processing images, undertaking necessary clerical work and liaising with wards and clinicians. Level 2 qualifications in a relevant health care related subject or completion of the CARE certificate is required for the post. There is a preceptorship program in place for progression to level 3 when complete. You will be a highly motivated, hardworking individual who strives to deliver excellent care. Ideally you will have some experience in a care setting and have good verbal and written communication skills and reasonable level of numeracy.
