Our client, a well-known freight forwarder, is currently looking for an experienced Import Export Customs Clerk to join their team in Stanford-le-Hope, to process & monitor import and export clearances as well as liaise with customers and consignees. This vacancy is a full-time, permanent position with a salary dependent on experience. As the Import Export Coordinator, you will be arranging transportation for collections & deliveries, dealing with multi-modal customs operations from start to finish, and preparing documentation for import and export customs clearance. We're keen to speak to enthusiastic people who have experience as an Import Export Coordinator, or who have some experience working in imports export customs clearance within the freight/logistics industry. Also, having good knowledge of the various customs procedures and familiarity with Destin8, CNS, and MultiFreight is a good attribute for this role. Duties of the Import Export Coordinator: Coordination of import/export shipments. General duties related to imports/exports, shipping, and freight forwarding. Handling import/export customs clearance via CDS using our in-house software (Multifreight/Multished). Producing timely shipping documentation through our Freight Management Systems. Using initiative to identify and follow up on opportunities with prospective customers. Utilizing our Freight Management System and other Microsoft software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel with a high degree of accuracy. Working closely with your supervisor to achieve team objectives. Contributing to team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas. Skills & Requirements of the Import Export Coordinator: Experience with Air, Sea and Road Import & Export. Ability to identify opportunities with prospective customers. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and databases. Good with numbers. Strong communications and organisational skills. Strong work ethics with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy. Team player and self-driven with a positive attitude. Will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.
