In-house Commercial Property Lawyer - North East
I've been exclusively retained by a business whose operations are integral to the economic success of the North East region, to help them hire a commercially minded real estate lawyer. As a leading supply chain/logistics business, they employ 1400 people across multiple sites in the UK and are headquartered firmly in the North East.
With a well-established multi-disciplinary legal function supporting matters across the business, they are looking to bolster that team with the addition of a commercial property lawyer. This will be a very diverse role which includes the reviewing, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of property-related documentation (e.g., leases, tenancy agreements, deeds of surrender, licences to occupy, easements, and large infrastructure projects). You will work in collaboration with other experts to ensure property-related projects are delivered efficiently and timely, often operating at director/board level and assisting in the preparation of correspondence in response to challenging external questions.
You'll need to be an experienced solicitor or chartered legal executive, working in-house or in a law firm, with an excellent grounding in property law and a track record of handling complex and technical issues. Additionally, you'll need great drive and perseverance to problem solve, and be able to demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and motivational skills.
