A large FTSE company is currently seeking an immediately available Corporate Tax Manager. This global professional services company requires a Corporate Tax specialist looking to move into their first in-house managerial position.

You'll be at the heart of the global tax operations, partnering with the Corporate Senior Tax Managers to drive compliance, manage risks, and shape the tax narrative. Your day-to-day will involve being immersed in the group's global compliance obligations while simultaneously working towards the overarching goals of the Global Tax team. In addition, you'll gain hands-on experience with high-impact advisory projects, such as implementing tax initiatives and managing M&A activities and restructurings.

Your role won't stop there; you'll also have the chance to work closely with stakeholders across various global markets, ensuring tax considerations are front and centre in critical commercial discussions, and providing support to the business on all tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Support in forecasting and managing the Group Effective Tax Rate, supporting decision-making through modelling the impact of business change and risks/opportunities arising. Deliver the Group's country-by-country filing and reporting requirements. Support the delivery of the Group's tax reporting requirements for the Group's full year and Interim consolidated accounts. Manage UK corporate compliance work. Support in Pillar 2 tax calculations and compliance. Dealing with cross-border withholding tax requirements, including withholding tax reporting. Transfer pricing reviews and documentation. Improving corporate tax processes to streamline and reduce risk. Partnering with the business to ensure that tax concerns are factored into commercial decision-making and that business initiatives are well-supported from a tax perspective. Providing ad hoc tax support to international markets and ad hoc tax research. Support the Senior Tax Managers on key projects and initiatives. What we are looking for: If you're a newly qualified tax professional eager to transition into your first managerial role, this is the perfect opportunity. We're looking for a well-rounded corporate tax expert who is intellectually curious about complex corporate tax issues and thrives in engaging, hands-on environments. You should enjoy making critical business judgments, identifying key tax issues, and assessing their potential impact on Hays.

Experience with large, complex corporate or clients is essential. UK Corporate Tax compliance expertise is a must; any international experience is a definite plus.

Personally, you should be proactive, hardworking, a self-starter, driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong project management skills. Excellent communication skills and a commercial mindset will enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues outside of tax, helping to shape, integrate, and achieve the business priorities with technical excellence.
