About the legal team The Legal Team is a high-achieving in-house legal team providing litigation and transactional property legal services. As an entrepreneurial department and team, we are constantly looking at how we can add value and improve the services provided to A2Dominion. We support professional and personal development, and many of our team members have been promoted into their roles and supported to qualification. This opportunity arises due to team members moving on to new roles consisting of promotions and new areas of law. The litigation team deals with all areas of housing management including leasehold, ASB, possession, and currently, there is a disrepair focus. In-House Legal Counsel

to join our friendly and hard-working Governance & Compliance division at A2Dominion. This role is for a competent housing management lawyer able to work without supervision, with a love of the law and a zest for ensuring that our client’s properties are fit for purpose and inhabited by those entitled to be doing so. To be successful in this role you will be a qualified lawyer with a right to practice in England and Wales. Key responsibilities: Professional To act in a way that upholds the rule of law and the proper administration of justice. To maintain high standards of professional and personal conduct. To act with independence, honesty, and integrity. To treat everyone fairly and without prejudice, encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion. To act competently and in the best interests of your client, respecting client confidentiality. Departmental Provide specialist legal advice and carry out legal work on behalf of our in-house client. Manage own files from inception to completion. Take client instructions and provide legal advice both orally and in writing. Contribute to the drafting of policy, process, and technical guidance on legal issues. Prepare and deliver in-house training in your area of expertise. Be a trusted business partner, entrepreneurial, facilitative, commercial, and solutions-focused. Deliver an excellent service to our customers, stakeholders, and team members. Manage any work sent out to our external legal framework provider. Forecast and capture expenditure accurately. Litigation sub-team Conduct cross-tenure legal work and advocacy on all aspects of housing and property management. Draft full suite of legal documentation as necessary. Act on client instructions and negotiate settlements. Prepare cases for taking to courts and tribunals. More about you For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following: Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant postgraduate qualification. A qualified lawyer (solicitor or CILEx fellow equivalent) with experience in practice. A strong property background with good working knowledge of all legal tenures. Clear analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
