We're currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Manager to join a leading business in the automation and materials handling sector. Role & Responsibilities

As an Internal Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing inbound sales leads from various industries, ensuring that customer requirements are met effectively and profitably. Your key duties will include:

Responding to inbound inquiries from leading UK clients in sectors such as online retail, food, and manufacturing. Creating accurate and competitive quotations, managing discount rates, and ensuring optimal profit margins. Handling and overseeing customer-specific discount agreements, making adjustments as needed based on ongoing discussions. Following up with customers on their inquiries, offering tailored solutions, and amending quotes or orders as required. Processing orders accurately and passing them onto the fulfilment team for realisation. Proactively reaching out to existing customers to uncover new opportunities and grow accounts. Managing key accounts that regularly install multiple projects, ensuring that contracts and communications are streamlined and efficient. Collaborating with internal teams to understand specific customer needs and provide tailored solutions that convert into new business opportunities. Liaising with other departments, including group sales, to discuss special inquiries, tenders, and cross-departmental synergies. Attending weekly sales team meetings and actively contributing to discussions and strategy development. Working alongside the Head of Sales on development plans for the department to ensure continued success and growth.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a self-driven and results-oriented individual who thrives in an inbound sales environment. You should have: A proven track record in internal sales, preferably within the automation or materials handling industries. However, candidates from a strong engineering background will be considered. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and drive business growth. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Leadership potential, with the ability to support and guide a small team.
