We're seeking an

Inclusion and Belonging Lead

to deliver and develop our Inclusion and Belonging Strategic Plan, as part of Our Combined People Plan, integrating inclusion and belonging into everything we do. This 12-month fixed term/secondment is a fantastic opportunity to develop and prove your leadership skills, making a difference to access, experience and outcomes for staff and service users alike, while fostering a workplace that values equity, respect, and belonging for all.

Main duties of the job Lead the delivery and further development of strategic inclusion and belonging initiatives for service users and staff Provide expert advice on equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights Collaborate with internal and external colleagues, partners and other stakeholders to promote and deliver continuous improvement Inspire and support our staff networks and inclusion allies and champions across the organisation Act as a role model, embedding our Trust values in all you do Provide governance and assurance on equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging, ensuring the Trust delivers on its annual statutory and NHS obligations

Job Summary To lead on the development and implementation of the Trust's strategic inclusion and belonging plans, to improve the access, experience and health outcomes for patients and service users, and to enable a fairer, more equitable and inclusive working environment for staff.

To lead the mainstreaming of inclusion and belonging into the Trust's core business and day-to-day activities, including as a key leadership responsibility for all leaders.

Strategic Inclusion and Belonging (I& B) Leadership To develop long-term and annual strategic I& B plans for the Trust, covering both patient services and workforce, that are aligned to current legislation, Trust objectives and wider strategies. To lead and enable a culture of continuous I& B improvement in patient services by implementing and facilitating strategic plans and performance frameworks. To act as the lead specialist and primary Trust resource for expert advice and good practice in highly complex I& B and human rights issues. To be responsible for Trust-wide policy development relating specifically to I& B and Equality and Human Rights issues. To lead, promote and maintain a culture of inclusion, where I& B best practice is mainstreamed into all Trust plans and policies. To develop and maintain key partnerships across the Trust and Integrated Care System (ICS). To develop and maintain effective partnerships with key external stakeholders, including local communities and under-served groups. To be responsible for monitoring any annual I& B-related budget available for use for I& B promotions. To lead on the development, delivery and communication of specialist training, education and development for leaders and staff. To audit and analyse workforce and community data to inform the development of improvement plans. To evaluate interventions to ensure that they are meeting strategic plans and promoting statutory and legal compliance.

Person Specification Qualifications and Experience Essential

Highly specialist Inclusion and Belonging knowledge acquired through degree & professional HR / OD qualification or equivalent qualification. Experience of developing corporate strategies, policies and guidance for managers/staff to improve people and equality outcomes. Experience in implementing service improvement initiatives in/with a complex organisation. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. A thorough understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and its Code of Practice.

Desirable

Qualification in equality and diversity at Level 4/above. Experience of working with equality performance frameworks. Coaching and consultancy skills.
