Overview

As an Income and Reporting Accountant for GalRe, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate tracking and analysis of GalRe's income streams, including commissions, fees, and other revenue sources. This position involves conducting detailed financial analysis, preparing comprehensive reports, and forecasting income trends to support strategic decision-making and financial planning. The analyst is responsible for monitoring revenue performance against targets and budgets, identifying discrepancies, and providing insights into revenue fluctuations. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with finance, accounting, and operational teams to gather necessary data and insights. The role also involves generating regular and ad-hoc financial reports for management and stakeholders, presenting findings, and recommending improvements to enhance income performance. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvements in income tracking and reporting, implementing best practices to boost efficiency and accuracy.

How you'll make an impact

Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data related to income streams, including commissions, fees, and other revenue sources. Prepare detailed reports and forecasts on income trends and variances. Revenue Tracking: Monitor and track revenue performance against targets and budgets. Identify discrepancies and provide insights into revenue fluctuations. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases. Ensure data integrity and compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for management and stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations to improve income performance. Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and operational teams to gather necessary data and insights. Support cross-functional projects aimed at optimising revenue streams. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in income tracking and reporting. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

About You

Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent). Experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry. Familiarity with insurance brokerage operations and revenue models is beneficial. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, OneStream, PowerBi). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Eligibility to work in the UK.
