Income Officers

to join our fabulous Income Team. As an Income Officer at Yorkshire Housing, you'll be the superhero of our rental income! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to maximise and sustain our rental income while providing top-notch advice and guidance to our customers. You'll be their go-to person for all things rent, service charges, and legal costs. From negotiating payment plans to liaising with external agencies like the DWP and Housing Benefit, you'll be the financial wizard our customers need. Key responsibilities: Income collection extraordinaire:

Manage complex cases and ensure timely collection of rent, service charges, and legal costs. Customer engagement:

Proactively contact customers via calls, texts, emails, and home visits to manage debt and negotiate payment plans. Support & advice:

Provide stellar advice on debt and money management, promoting our "Rent on Time" initiative. Early intervention specialist:

Use your skills to minimise legal cases and evictions through early intervention. Court savvy:

Stay informed about court proceedings and attend court if necessary. What you'll bring: Adaptability:

Flexibility to handle a varied workload. Communication skills:

Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication abilities. IT skills:

Strong experience with MS products. Organisational skills:

Ability to manage competing demands and deadlines. Customer service experience:

Proven track record in resolving complex customer cases. Commercial awareness:

Understanding of income collection in the housing sector. Driving license:

Full UK driving license and access to a car for business purposes. Initiative and self-motivation:

Ability to work on your own initiative. Values alignment:

Personal values and approach that align with Yorkshire Housing’s values. Experience writing policies and procedures. Knowledge of different tenure types and debt solutions. £34,219.38 plus £2,000 car allowance

per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays. We offer a reward package to suit everyone.
