Indirect Tax Team Leader Scope of the Post: Our Indirect Tax Consultants play a crucial role in supporting clients worldwide with their VAT obligations, encompassing tax compliance, VAT advisory services, and e-commerce consultancy. We adopt a client-centric approach and are currently seeking tax professionals to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. As an Indirect Tax Consultant, you will provide comprehensive advice, offering practical guidance on VAT regulations, cross-border transactions, and ensuring full compliance with VAT laws. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously. Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required. Communicate with tax offices regarding clients accounts and obligations. Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio. Manage clients' accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department. Stay consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation. Provide exceptional customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships within your portfolio. Represent the company professionally at events/webinars. Train, support, and develop new team members. Collaborate positively and enthusiastically with the team. Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Detailed requirements for technical knowledge, skills, and abilities are outlined in the person specification. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in the key accountabilities, specifically within a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Person Specification: Essential: Experience in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance. Confidence and excellent communication skills for client interaction (Email, Phone, and face-to-face). Ability to work well both in a team and independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent multitasking ability. Desirable: Experience or knowledge of International E-Commerce.
