Textiles Machinist Required! Our client is a designer and manufacturer of high-performing, protective equipment cases, racks, and rugged textiles, used for the transport, operation, and storage of essential equipment in military and commercial applications based in Isleworth. On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Textile Machinist to operate, maintain, and monitor industrial sewing machines for manufacturing high-quality textile components for protective cases and covers. The role involves interpreting design specifications, ensuring precise cutting and sewing of fabric, and collaborating with the production team to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Package: Hourly pay of £14.05 - Paid Weekly Full-time position (40 hours per week): 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday & 7:30am - 1:00pm on Friday. Textiles Machinist - Responsibilities: Set up and operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble textile components according to specifications. Measure, mark, and cut fabric to ensure accurate dimensions. Inspect work for defects and ensure finished products meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with sewing machines and equipment. Work with production and design teams to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues. Complete tasks on time while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Follow health and safety guidelines when operating machines and handling materials. Maintain production records, including quantities, materials used, and any discrepancies. Textiles Machinist - Requirements: Live within commutable distance to their site in Isleworth. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a textile machinist, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other textile-related equipment. Familiarity with various types of fabrics, technical textiles, and cutting techniques. Strong attention to detail to ensure precise cutting and stitching as per technical drawings and customer specifications. Ability to lift fabric rolls and materials, standing for long periods while operating machinery.
