Join us in Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) where you can develop your expertise working with everyone from Specialist Operations (SO) to Metropolitan Police units. Information compliance can be challenging for an organisation like ours: we must protect sensitive police information but still enable the public to understand the important role that Met officers and staff play in protecting our communities. As our Information Access Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth and efficient processing of the Freedom of Information requests, providing guidance and support and drafting appropriate responses, which meet our statutory obligations. You will also undertake searches and enquiries for Right of Access requests where CT information is requested. It’s a chance to deal with some of our most dynamic, specialist units, such as Aviation Policing and Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP). To be considered, you will need a firm grasp of relevant legislation including FOIA, ROAR and GDPR – and the drive to become an expert. We’re also looking for the ability to write concise reports and to communicate clearly, both in person and on paper. Interpersonal skills will play a big part in your role, so you need to be articulate. It's just as important that you’re well organised, with the initiative to make the right decisions. If you’re precise and good with people, we may have the ideal job for you – which comes with great benefits. In return for your efforts, you can expect a rewarding role, a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, and excellent career development.
