Ensure collaboration and cooperation between IS activities to ensure that assets (hosts, networks, systems, applications, and information) are secure during operations with the mission to reduce or eradicate any technical control weakness that could lead to a security incident. Responsible for all day-to-day security operations activities, many of which may be performed by members of the broader IS and business organization with regular oversight by and reporting to members of the CISO’s organization. Deliver a first-class Security operations incident management capability enabling rapid response to any security incident. Overall responsibility for Information Security Operations (Monitoring, vulnerability management, and Incident response) within MIB as part of the CISO organization. Responsible for all areas of Security Operations including Alerting & Monitoring, Management of a suite of security tools such as vulnerability management, Information Protections, Email & internet security & Threat intelligence. Leading & developing a high-performing Information Security Operations team. Developing and optimizing the security control suite to minimize risk and maximize value. Contributor and member of the security Management team. Input into the information security policy development process. Input into security training and awareness programmes. Management of 3rd party security services. Input into the plan and design work of any security architecture and security change. Ensuring that information security controls map to risk appetite and requirements. Qualifications and Education:
Skills and Knowledge:
Experience in leading, managing, and developing a security operations team. Experience of budget management and control. Experience in security incident response leadership. Advanced security qualifications such as CISSP, GIAC, as well as vendor-specific training and/or qualifications for endpoint and networking security solutions. Extensive technical knowledge and background in information Security operations. Experience and understanding of sound networking principles. Experience of designing, implementing, managing, and operating off-the-shelf and bespoke security tooling such as anti-virus, data loss prevention, web application firewalls, firewalls, VPN, etc. Experience of specifying policies and operating security tools. Experience of communicating and presenting highly complex information to internal and external stakeholders. Proven analytical and systematic thinking skills.
