This is a key role in supporting NHS Borders' critical Patient Administration systems, ensuring the seamless availability of clinical and management information essential for delivering exceptional patient care. As part of our team, you will manage and maintain e-health systems within a Business as Usual (BAU) environment, providing operational support for systems such as TrakCare Patient Management System, EMIS Web, SCI Store/Gateway, and WardView. Your contributions will help ensure reliable and efficient access to vital information for healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:

Daily management and maintenance of Patient Administration systems. Conducting system-testing, analysis, and implementing changes. Supporting the development and delivery of enhancements to both new and existing systems. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the systems meet clinical and operational needs. Requirements:

Experience in the backend administration of information systems (TrakCare and / or EMIS Web) is highly desirable, preferably within the NHS or a healthcare environment. Good experience in the day-to-day usage of Patient Administration systems is a requirement. Good problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. Ability to manage and adapt to change effectively, ensuring system reliability and efficiency. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
