We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive IT strategy for Bosence, a UK-based charity. This assignment is crucial in defining and implementing a forward-looking IT roadmap aligned with our organisational goals and budgetary constraints. Duration & Compensation This is an assignment with an expected duration of 3 months. Remote working is possible, but some attendance at Bosence will likely be required. Compensation will be based on time and materials, invoiced monthly. Minimum commitment of 2-3 days per week or full-time over a short duration. Maximum day rate of £350/day + VAT. Travel expenses will be reimbursed at 45p per mile for visits to Bosence where necessary. Responsibilities IT Vision Development:

Collaborate with senior management to craft a clear and compelling IT vision statement that aligns with Bosence's strategic objectives. Budget Definition:

Work closely with the CEO and Operations Manager to define and document a detailed 3-year IT budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation. 3-Year IT Plan:

Lead the development of a comprehensive 3-year IT plan that supports the established IT vision and organisational priorities. Propose and agree on the approach to the assignment with the Operations Manager and CEO. Tender Process Oversight:

Manage the process of selecting an IT support vendor for Bosence, ensuring best practices and value for money. Role Definition & Selection:

Define the role requirements for the Bosence IT representative and assist in the selection and appointment of the suitable candidate for this role. Training & Handover:

Provide necessary training and ensure a smooth handover to the appointed Bosence IT representative. Supervision:

Report progress weekly to the Operations Manager. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in IT strategy development and implementation, preferably within the non-profit or charity sector. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute complex IT initiatives. Expertise in budget planning and management, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Demonstrated success in managing vendor relationships and running tender processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management and external stakeholders. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
