We are looking for a highly skilled, self-driven, and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the IT estates of our SMB clients. The role will be split between working as part of the service desk team and working on infrastructure changes.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical escalation contact for clients and the support team. Respond to and prioritise alerts from monitoring systems. Collaborate with the team to take ownership of and resolve incidents and service requests at a senior level. Proactively identify risks and highlight opportunities that protect client businesses and add value. Coordinate with third parties on behalf of clients to resolve issues effectively. Support team knowledge transfer to promote ongoing skill development and ensure broad expertise across the business. Carry out planned technical changes within designated maintenance windows. Work closely with vendors and third-party providers to ensure smooth integration of new systems. Gather client requirements and convert them into actionable technical change requests. Support the deployment of new infrastructure solutions based on client needs or enhance existing infrastructure to improve performance, resilience, and security. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide clients with modern and secure infrastructure solutions. Document all technical changes, configurations, and upgrades thoroughly. Maintain up-to-date project and support documentation. Skills Sought:
