Our client is a major European retail organisation and is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to work out of their Bicester office. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the IT infrastructure, including network switches, wireless systems, firewalls, virtual environments, and support systems. Please note that all candidates must be able to work full-time from the Bicester office. Key Responsibilities: Configure and maintain HP/Aruba network switches and wireless infrastructure. Configure and maintain PFSense and Watchguard firewalls. Deploy and maintain servers and appliances in the virtualised environment, including VMware ESXi hosts. Resolve issues with back-end processes, Windows desktop and server environments. Maintain and troubleshoot Mitel VoIP phone systems. Provide 3rd line support for Microsoft 365, MS Exchange 2019 (hybrid), and 3rd party applications. Manage print services and servers. Deploy and assist in troubleshooting new internal applications. Act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk. Manage Active Directory environments, users, permissions, and GPO policies. Maintain DNS and DHCP scopes. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of HP/Aruba switches, Aruba wireless infrastructure, and firewalls (PFSense, Watchguard). Experience with VMware ESXi and Mitel VoIP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and MS Exchange 2019. Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications (e.g., VCP, CCNA, Microsoft Certified) Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits.
