IT Services Manager Liverpool (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office) Are you ready to take the reins of IT services and lead the infrastructure and software of a business helping countless charities across the UK? As their go-to for all things IT management in the business, you’ll oversee the delivery, maintenance, and evolution of technology, ensuring it remains robust, reliable, and importantly, secure. This role will be perfect for someone who thrives on creating streamlined processes, inspiring teams, and working at the intersection of strategy and technology. What You’ll Be Doing: Service Management: Develop and implement efficient IT service management processes for incident, problem, and change management. Monitor and maintain SLAs and KPIs of internal teams and third-party vendors, ensuring top-tier service delivery. Apply ITIL frameworks to standardise and optimise processes. IT Operations: Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, and deployments of IT systems, hardware, and software. Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. Lead disaster recovery planning to ensure high availability and preparedness. Mentor and inspire a small IT support and operations team. Provide training and conduct performance evaluations to drive growth. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-first thinking. Strategic Planning: Align IT services with business goals in collaboration with senior management. Develop and manage budgets for IT services and operations. Recommend and integrate emerging technologies to enhance service delivery. Security and Compliance: Ensure IT systems meet security standards and compliance requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks and handle incidents effectively. What We’re Looking For: The Essentials: Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management, ideally with some experience working in an SME or non-corporate environment. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications. Proficiency in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira. A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement. The Bonus Points: Strong appreciation for information security standards. Additional qualifications such as PMP, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect. Experience implementing ITIL, COBIT, or similar frameworks. Why Apply?
