Information Technology System Engineer

Opportunity for an IT System/ Infrastructure Engineer to join an established and growing IT Services and Satellite Communications organization. This role will be based onsite in Merstham, Surrey area at their HQ. Role will include on-call. In this role, working as part of a team, you will build and administer their client's IT equipment and networks, including server build, patching and backup. To be successful in this role you will need to have experience working in managed service provider environments (MSP) and a sound background in Windows Server build and administration. The organization works with clients in the military and forces sector so you will need to be eligible for UK SC Clearance. Key skills and experience sought:

Degree (2:1) or HND/HNC in IT/Engineering related area AND/OR at least 3 years equivalent experience Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment Sound technical knowledge and experience of Windows Server 2019/22 build/configure/troubleshooting Sound technical knowledge of core Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktop environments, including building, troubleshooting, patching Technical knowledge IT Security (anti-virus, firewalls) VMware build/HA/configure/troubleshooting experience Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts including Routing, Switching, Firewalling, including Layer 7 firewalls Additional skills of interest:
