Information Technology Technical Officer Band 5 £31,892 - £39,735 per annum Plus £1,349 Distant Islands Allowance per annum 37 Hours per Week 2 Permanent Posts NHS Western Isles is looking to recruit two Technical Officers to join the IT Team to provide support for all users across NHS Western Isles. The IT Technical Officers will respond to user requests for support and be the first point of contact for escalation from the service desk. They will provide technical services for the installation, configuration, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of desktop and mobile computer systems and associated software and peripherals. They will also provide advice and training to users on the use of computer systems and software. A special interest in IT Networks is essential for one of the posts. They must be able to work independently as well as part of the wider IT team and be responsive to changes in priorities in line with Board initiatives.
