Infrastructure Deployment Engineer (6-Month Contract) – Up to £400 Per day – London – Financial Services

Job Overview : A global British FTSE250 financial services company with over 60 locations worldwide is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join their London-based IT team. The primary responsibilities include building, updating, and deploying Windows 11 machines, as well as providing post-deployment support on-site to high-profile senior business clientele. You will assist end-users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The rollout will involve travel to various UK locations, as well as supporting the global head office site in London, UK. Key Responsibilities : Build, configure, and deploy Windows 11 machines across multiple sites in the UK. Perform system updates and installations ensuring compatibility with business applications. Coordinate testing and deployment windows with users. Provide hands-on support for end-users, including floor walking to assist with troubleshooting and usage queries. Ensure all deployments are carried out with attention to detail, offering a “white glove” service to a high-profile clientele. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, liaising with other IT teams as necessary to resolve technical problems. Conduct user training where necessary, ensuring a seamless experience during and post-deployment. Travel to different locations as required. Requirements : Proven experience in Windows 11 deployments or similar large-scale IT refresh projects. Strong technical skills in building, updating, and deploying Windows 11 machines. Experience in post-deployment support, including troubleshooting and user assistance. Hardware Management Skills – Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling laptops and desktops, including knowledge of various hardware components and their functions, ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues efficiently. Intune Management Skills – Proficiency in managing and configuring Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, policy creation, and application deployment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with high-profile users in a professional and efficient manner. Ability to work independently and travel across the UK, supporting users on various sites. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-focused mindset. Preferred : Previous experience working with high-profile or “white glove” clients. Previous experience successfully deploying Windows 10 or Windows 11. Certifications in Microsoft or related technologies (Intune, Azure, CompTIA). PowerShell Knowledge – Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting, including writing and executing simple scripts, automating routine tasks, and troubleshooting basic script errors. Details: 6 Month Initial Contract Travel Required within the UK
