Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

to join our well-established forward-thinking Technology team.

The Infrastructure DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines working closely with our Application Development and Support Team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and efficient, supporting our organisation's growth and operational objectives.

The Opportunity:

In the Infrastructure DevOps Engineer role, you will be responsible for the following:

Developing and implementing automation scripts and tools to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments.

Implementing security best practices and protocols to protect our infrastructure and data, working closely with the App Dev team.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Setting up monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to infrastructure incidents promptly and conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Collaborating with development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.

Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes.

Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance during critical incidents.

Some regional travel and out-of-hours work may be required on an ad-hoc basis

About You:

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation and deployment.

Exposure to scripting and programming languages.

Has experience of working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and application development methodologies.

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative small team environment.
