An Infrastructure Engineer, who will work within a key technical function, carrying out OS patching and vulnerability management of the estate to maintain compliance. This role encompasses several different elements, which will ensure that you gain a broad knowledge of the server operating systems that underpin the Business. You will ensure security compliance and patching of all server assets across our estate. The day-to-day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technologies greatest challenges. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. Preferred Skills and Experience

Broad technical skill set. Proficiency in Linux RHEL 8 or 9, CentOS 7 and Ubuntu for server management and administration. Hands on experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016 or 2019 for patching, maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to automate tasks, such as patching and software deployment using PowerShell. Ability to manage schedules and patching cycles to meet deadlines. Experience creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for processes and knowledge sharing. Main Responsibilities

Identifying and addressing areas of improvement, whilst continuously analysing systems and processes to proactively resolve inefficiencies and technical issues. Ensuring systems are patched according to schedule, such as monthly, quarterly or bi-annually. Deploying regular baselines for operating system patches. Managing and executing software deployments across the infrastructure. Creating and maintaining documentation for new and existing processes, procedures and configurations, ensuring that it is accurate and up to date. Contributing to maintaining PCI compliance by adhering to industry security standards. Implementing automated patching processes for timely application of patches. Troubleshooting and resolving patch deployment issues, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
