We are seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Linux enterprise systems to join our dynamic team. Based out of our Port in Southampton, reporting into our UK Infrastructure Team manager and working in a UK team of 7. In this role you will design, implement, and maintain the IT infrastructure within DP World UK Terminals.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with previous experience or knowledge of power protect (Dell storage), Microsoft and Linux - Redhat.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) an additional On call requirement (compensated) About the Role To provide the IT infrastructure to meet the business needs including: Provide Infrastructure and desktop support; Participate in the 24*7 system support of business critical and essential IT services; Software installations and problem solving of software on desktops laptops, printers etc.; Monitor on a daily basis the company intranet, email, Microsoft products, 3rd party software; Train and orient staff on use of hardware and software; Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Assist in maintaining Data Center operations and maintain uninterrupted production systems; Manage the storage media, including the Dell PowerStore SAN, its usage, backup and archiving policies; Support the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to actively manage the high availability solutions across two sites; Utilize virtualization (VMware) to maximize use of hardware; Continuously monitor System Capacity requirements - Disk storage, processor utilization, communications bandwidth, power, UPS/standby generator; Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software; What you will bring Minimum requirement: a degree level IT qualification. Encourages and seeks opportunities (for himself/herself and others) to improve, innovate and implement changes to support the business; Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills, due to close contact with senior management and European business units; Communicates effectively with other people to get the job done; Solid persuasion and commercial negotiation skills with the ability to maintain strategic relationships; Ability to collate and disseminate facts ensuring that the audience understands information being presented supported by high presentation proficiency to present the project in a variety of forums to different levels of business; Knowledge and understanding of new products on the market. Experience of and trained in: Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustered Services, Group Policy, IP protocol, firewall configuration, SCOM and SCCM desirable; VMware and SAN storage fundamentals. Specific technologies are Dell DataDomain and Powerstore SAN, Commvault, HPE Synergy, VMware. Troubleshooting of all these products using suitable tools; Experience and maturity for IT infrastructure management: Have built and maintained a high availability (24*7) infrastructure environment.
