Each team has Family Practitioners who also support with intervention direct work with children. Our Initial Response team is responsible for carrying out Child and Family Assessments and, when necessary, section 47 Child Protection enquiries to decide whether a child is in need of support from our Children and Families teams, requires protection, or should be taken into care. Our team of Social Workers, ASYE’s, and Family Practitioners are managed and supported by our Team Manager and Assistant Team Managers. Accessible to the office so that they can forge relationships with colleagues and partnerships. You will need to commit to being in Devon every other week for a full week to support duty and be able and available to travel to Devon the alternate week in order to support seeing children in a timely manner, working directly with families, and also attend to any emergencies or s47 on your cases.
