Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for Permanent Injection Moulding Technicians, for a client located in Stanley. Responsible to the Manufacturing Coordinator, the successful candidate will be making parts to the right quality standards and to the cycle time required. Setting the machinery (tool changes and colour changes) as well as maintenance and operating/packing products. This role is shopfloor based and most of the shift will require standing up.
Injection Moulding Technician Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a range of machinery
- Undertaking handover with technician from previous shifts
- Identify what product is due off
- Perform regular quality checks
- Prepare tools for jobs required
- Prepare production packs
- Optimization of machines and equipment to achieve continuous production
- Support production to achieve 5 key data element targets
- Inform material handler of jobs due off and next planned
- Undertaking tool changes as required
- General housekeeping
- Pack boxes with finished products
- Perform safety checks on machines, once per week
- Maintenance of machines
- To maintain health and safety
- To maintain quality standards
- Targets on cycle time
- Minimize rejects
- Meeting quality standards
Injection Moulding Technician Applicants:
- Attention to detail

- Technical fault finding
- Ideally possess basic electrical and hydraulic skills
- Polymer Training Association - Level 2 and 3 Setting (desirable)
- Formal training in Engel and Arburg Moulding machines up to 100T (desirable)

Working a 3-shift rotation: 10pm-6am Sunday to Thursday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. Salary is £28,056.70.
