We are looking for motivated, compassionate and ambitious nurses who have a genuine interest in working with elderly service users and delivering high standards of care. If you are a Registered Nurse who enjoys working with patients to improve quality of life and promote independence, then this is an exciting opportunity to join us in our 19 bedded physical rehabilitation unit. You will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver individualised nursing and rehabilitation care to patients with the common goal of delivering the best outcomes possible. Our patients present with a broad range of conditions including orthopaedic, frail elderly, post-surgery and long-term neurological conditions. Whether you are a newly qualified or an experienced nurse, this is a chance to develop your skills as part of a highly supportive team. Main duties of the job
The unit nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a group of identified service users and will provide and maintain a high standard of patient-focused care that ensures patient safety, dignity, and respect are paramount. Provide, monitor and ensure that a high standard of safe and effective nursing care is maintained via professional actions, verbal and written skills. Be responsible for the initial holistic assessment, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients who are acutely and chronically unwell. Carry out routine and non-routine tasks including medication rounds, clinical observations, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans, assisting patients to meet their daily care needs, health promotion, and planning discharges. You will be expected to work weekends and bank holidays on a rostered basis. Day and night shifts but predominantly day shifts. Day shift:

Qualifications
BSc or equivalent experience in adult nursing role Current NMC registration Skills, knowledge and experience
Effective communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal. Able to function effectively as a team member. Able to make clinically reasoned judgements. Able to work autonomously and know when to seek appropriate advice. Effective time and caseload management. Experience in a variety of nursing areas, including in the acute setting. Able to carry out clinical assessment and record keeping. Experience of health, safety and risk management policies. You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
