The specialist autism team works closely with mental health, social care colleagues, advocacy, and community services. We work between the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed on occasion, to meet individual needs. Our service is commissioned to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions (Outreach) and support therapeutic admissions (Inreach) and timely discharges (Discharge Coordination) in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. We work as a tertiary service, supporting autistic individuals under the care of secondary mental health services who have experienced challenges including high levels of anxiety and sensory and communication differences. Qualifications

Relevant Core Professional Qualification and registered with the appropriate professional body 2-3 years’ post-registration experience Knowledge

Knowledge of contemporary autism policy Knowledge and skills in the assessment/management of risk Demonstrates reflective practice Knowledge of legal frameworks applicable to the learning disabled population Experience
