Job Summary Operate under senior staff guidance within an agreed system of supervision. Implement systems to enable excellent learning, progress, and behavior for pupils in the Inspiration Centre. Maintain a calm and orderly learning environment through protocols and routines. Provide outstanding support, including In-School Inclusion Provision (ISIP), for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities 1.

Learning and Pastoral Activities Ensure pupils receive the full curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4, tailored to their abilities. Monitor lessons to ensure effective learning and orderly environments. Supervise pupils during social times and transitions. Lead assemblies and daily Read-Aloud sessions for pupils. Provide feedback on pupil progress and foster a supportive learning atmosphere. 2.

Support for Pupils Implement behavior strategies as outlined in school policies. Coordinate 1:1 restorative conversations and reflection time. Collaborate with specialists to support vulnerable pupils. Assist the SENDCo with Individual Education Plans and other support plans. Promote independence, recognize self-regulation, and provide pastoral support, including first aid. 3.

Half-Termly Review Meetings Lead review meetings with pupils and parents to assess progress and set goals. Ensure that only approved pupils are accommodated in the Inspiration Centre. 4.

Support for the School Manage and support Inspiration Centre staff, including professional development. Contribute to maintaining the school's ethos and mission. Maintain detailed records of meetings and discussions. Participate in team meetings, training, and school activities. 5.

Other Responsibilities Promote the vision of nurturing and inspiring pupils to achieve their potential. Champion values such as Service, Teamwork, Ambition, and Respect. Support the school's safeguarding, equality, and diversity agenda. 6.

Records Management Ensure proper record-keeping in line with school policies. Qualifications Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (Essential). Level 3 qualification or GCSEs in English and mathematics (Desirable). Qualified Teacher Status (Desirable). Experience Leadership in Alternative Provision for secondary school children (Essential). Experience with SEND and EAL pupils (Essential/Desirable). Familiarity with developing Individual Education Plans and literacy strategies (Essential). Skills and Knowledge Strong communication, ICT, and teamwork skills (Essential). Effective classroom and behavior management (Essential). Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with specific SEND needs (Desirable). First aid training (Desirable). Personal Qualities Passionate belief in fostering young people's potential. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity. Sympathetic to the ethos and values of the school community.
