We are seeking a qualified Installation Engineer to join our Hire Department. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and installing generators for customer use at diverse sites, including festivals, construction projects, and sporting events. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electrical engineer to work across Swansea, Gloucester, and the surrounding areas, ensuring reliable power solutions for our customers.

The Role As an Installation Engineer, you will:

Travel to customer sites to prepare, install, and commission generators. Collaborate with the Hire team to plan and execute installation schedules. Conduct site surveys to assess requirements and identify potential challenges. Perform electrical connections, wiring, and load testing in line with safety guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation. Provide training to customers on generator operation and maintenance. Complete all necessary documentation, including installation reports and service records. Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining strong client relationships.

About You We are looking for a motivated and qualified electrical engineer who meets the following criteria: Holds a recognised electrical qualification (e.g., 18th Edition). Ideally possesses 2391 Inspection and Testing (preferred but not essential). Experienced in electrical installations, wiring, and troubleshooting. Flexible to travel within the region and stay overnight as required. Committed to providing excellent customer service and working as part of a team.

What We Offer £15-£21 per hour (dependent on experience). Door-to-door pay for all travel. Overtime paid after 40 hours. 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
