Installation Engineer - Commercial Gas Specialist
Location: Rugby
Salary: £15/£17.00 per hour

We are looking for a highly skilled Installation Engineer with expertise in commercial gas to join our growing team.
The Role: As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and testing of commercial kitchen equipment and gas systems. You will work on projects ranging from single appliance installations to full commercial kitchen fit-outs, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities: • Install and commission commercial catering appliances and gas systems. • Carry out gas testing, purging, and ensuring all work meets current legislation (Gas Safe and industry standards). • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and the wider project team. • Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations. • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure projects are completed on time.
Skills & Experience Required: • Proven experience as an Installation Engineer within commercial catering and gas systems. • Gas Safe registered with relevant commercial catering gas qualifications (e.g., COMCAT 1, 2, 3, 5, COCN1). • Strong knowledge of installation and commissioning of catering equipment. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Full UK driving licence (essential). • Good understanding of health and safety regulations. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable: • Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations) are a plus. • Experience in commercial kitchen ventilation systems.
