One of the most important elements of the role is that in many cases the installation engineer is the first person from the company that the customer will meet. It is therefore very important that the engineer leaves an excellent first impression of the company. Provide excellent, consistent and professional levels of service to their customers and all aspects of the business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Report in to the Installation Manager weekly for schedule. Drive to UK sites to install Epos systems, which may entail overnight stays. Become proficient in the Epos software in order to train the customers in its functionality. Deal with customers' requests via the telephone. Visit sites for engineer engagements/breakdowns. Willingness to provide demonstrations of the Epos system at occasional trade events.
YOU SHOULD APPLY IF
You have a full clean driving licence. You have previous experience of working as part of a team. You have basic DIY skills, drilling holes, using a jigsaw. You are able to run network cables, often through suspended ceilings. You have knowledge of cable management. You have knowledge of basic network fault finding. Demonstrable organisational skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation. Strong work ethic, requiring high standards of self-motivation, able to be flexible in order to get the job done, able to work under pressure when deadlines approach. You are a confident and clear communicator. You have an excellent professional manner at all times. You are hardworking and committed, with a sense of humour.
