Jonathan Lee Recruitment is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for an Instrument Cluster Principal Engineer to join a prestigious Centre of Excellence for design and development located in Cranfield. This role offers a competitive PAYE rate, within a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of vehicles manufactured in European plants.

What You Will Do:

Lead the development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays and Displays ensuring adherence to Design and Test standards. Manage suppliers closely to guarantee the delivery of parts aligns with program requirements for cost, quality, and timing. Issue and maintain physical part BOM and configuration data for manufacturing plant. Prepare functional specifications and present part development status at internal Design Reviews. Manage in-house and supplier validation of parts, and resolve technical issues efficiently. Contribute to vehicle life cycle cost reduction and lead warranty investigations and implementations.

What You Will Bring:

Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent with a strong understanding of basic electrical theory. Extensive experience in similar roles within the automotive or equivalent sectors. Exposure to CAN communication and familiarity with software development V cycle. Proficiency in HMI specification creation and a well-organised, excellent communicator. Ability to travel in the UK and abroad, sometimes at short notice.

Location:
