The role of the Instrument Technician will be to assemble and build the component parts to create quality products that are fit for purpose, efficiently and consistently. They will support the Production Managers and Product Specialists to ensure the delivery of products on time. Carry out manufacturing processes accurately and efficiently. Maintain high standards to contribute to a safe manufacturing process. Interact with the company enterprise resources planning tools (Epicor) to correctly book materials, parts, time, and expenses to manufacturing jobs. DUTIES
The role will involve: Accurately following both documented and verbal instructions to build complex equipment to high quality; Mechanical small parts assembly, following clean handling processes; Electrical & electronic assembly, including soldering, wiring, crimping, etc.; Complying with established manufacturing systems and quality processes; Identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency; Other duties as required. Desirable: A good understanding of mechanical assembly processes; Experience working within a production/manufacturing environment; Reasonable computer literacy; Experience using ERP systems, especially Epicor E10.
