Here’s what you’ll be doing: Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a new Insurance Business Development Manager to join our team. You’ll be motivated to push boundaries and unlock commercial income with new insurers while you collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the best outcomes for the business and our customers. Working closely with Sophie Vickery (Head of Insurer Markets) and Sophie Snook (Senior Broking Development Manager), you’ll work with a team who is looking to the future and direction of the business. You’ll be driven to push boundaries and unlock your capability. As one of our Insurance Business Development Managers, you’ll:

Guide and support sales, business development, and relationship management with prospective insurers. Build and maintain key relationships with prospective insurers and build contacts in the insurance market. Manage the process for onboarding new insurers onto Simply Business’s new products or existing panels. Assist and support key negotiations with new insurers to achieve the best financial results for Simply Business while maintaining strong and lasting relationships. Oversee projects to unlock capacity and support our strategy and expanding our van proposition. We’re looking for someone who is:

Knowledgeable on motor / van insurance (preferred but not essential). Self-assured and calm in complex situations. Experienced in handling commercial insurance negotiations and can deliver results. Able to use good judgement and make well-informed recommendations and decisions. Creative with their solutions and new ideas to support negotiations. Tactical and can recognise trends and use these to inform new insurers’ activity. (We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap.
